I find when I add shortening to my candy melts they never really set hard
enough to wrap them in cellophane, even if I leave them out to air dry for
    a couple of days.

  2. PennimanLyrics says:

I always buy candy melts in a little store in my town, if I melt them they

Hmmm. I’ve made cake pops with Wilton candy melts many times and I’ve never
added shortening. I’ll have to try adding some next time and see if there
is a difference. My pops always come out well. I wonder why lol weird.

Love this series! Thanks Elise. I do use crystallized shortening from a few
specialty shops near me. I like this option better because the chips allow
you to eyeball the measurement a lil more. I usually do between 15-20 flake
per half bag candy melts and it works out great.
